Best over all price/quality is magnaflow.

Best quality is Corsa.

There is not going to be an exhaust that you can remove the cat, they never start for the cobalts til after the cat.

You would have to get a pipe put in where the cat is, HOWEVER I would not recommend this.

Exclamation Magnaflow v. Corsa

Apparently the first time I tried to post this reply it didn't work. I have a 2.2L and researching exhaust systems for the 2.2L showed that all Corsa systems are 2.5" and the Magnaflow system for the 2.2L is 2.25". Also Magnaflow claims 7HP on the SS 2.0 and Corsa claims 12HP on the SS 2.0.

That's what I remember reading.

Scott

^^ Any idea if the header will work with the aftermarket exhaust systems? I just did the part search on the Crate Engine Depot website and it mentions for use with production and GMPP exhaust systems...

I didn't get a chance to hear your exhaust when you got on it but it sounds pretty good at idle. I think you should really get your car dynoed soon because I have a feeling that you are running extremely lean at redline with your added mods. Watch out man, I would hate for you to blow the engine on such a nice car. Just because you are only boosting about 12psi with the 2.7 pulley doesn't mean that you are barely up to what a stock Cobalt would be at at sea level. Can't forget that we live over a mile high and sometimes the DA is 9,000+. That negatively effects boost where as the A/F would still be the same. In other words, if someone is running lean with the same mods as you at sea level you are no doubt also running lean here. Just saying, be careful!

I havn't got the CEL for a lean condition so i feel pretty safe right now, and my exhaust still gets black really quick so that a good sign of still running rich. With my boost bypass in stock mode i don't get anything higher than 11.5 because it bleads the rest away once i get in the higher RPM's. Hopfully i can get a dyno soon.

Oh and for those of you waiting for a video i have to run into towna dn get a cable to hook it up to my camera, not long now. If anyone can host it tell me now or i will have TTR do it which might delay it til tomorrow.
