Couple of free tips for my fellow colbalt owners,

If you have HPTuners,

Reduce your boost below 5K in 1st gear, it will allow a MUCH quicker 60', (Thanks Daren for the backup)

Spark Dwell,
Highlight entire table and extrapolate from corner to corner. Don't go over 5ms above 6K

Trust me on that one

Add a second heat exchanger in front of the condensor and run in series with the stock one.

30 to 120mph only gained 39 degrees on IAT2 versus 50-60deg stock set-up.

Enough for now

So you've seen close to a 20 degree drop in IAT2 temps since the addition of the second heat exchanger?

http://www.hptuners.com

Starts at $500. Doesn't seem worth it unless you really know what you're doing.

Well, I don't think I'll ever buy HPtuners. I plan on having any tuning I need done at the shop. To be more specific, you shouldn't buy HPtuners unless you know what you're doing or are absolutely sure that you will dedicate the time to learn how to use it.

Point I meant to make is it would be a waste of money if you bought it and couldn't properly use it. It would be a really expensive toy if you could only use it to monitor a bunch of numbers you don't understand.

Cool thanks.

But this will work with the stage 2 GM tune right?????????

I am willing to take the time to learn to use it correctly. I have tuned a car befor but it was a bolt on Fuel injection systom for a 350. It needs to be final tuned one a dyno but have not had time and the truck was just pulled out for the year a few weeks ago.

Yes, it will change a stage tune, or stock tune or any other tune that is in your car.

I prefer to tune at the track where i have airflow thru the heat exchangers. The best advice i have is to pay someone to help you get the base settings for your car and then you can "tweak" from there.

It is where it takes the highest and lowest value and smooths out the numbers in between those values.

On that spark dwell...u don't want it to exceed 5ms anywhere after 6000rpm or after 6000rpm and above 11V IGN?

So what does this do for a gain? I'm still trying to get a grip of this. And does this work on a 05? I don't see any option in hp for extrapolate. Do I manually put the numbers in to smooth things out or do Interpolate or smooth? Thanks
