i was thinkign about cutting out my cat and just putting a straight pipe in what would i have to do about the seonc O2 sensor so i dont thorw any codes

 

find someone with hp tuners and have them disable the code. or if you can live with your check engine light always on you dont have to do anything

 

i wouldnt waste my money on cutting the cat off i would just gut it

No jk. Take off the downpipe and ream out the honeycomb crap in the cat with a long tool or other device.

 

Get the car off the ground take the cat off. I think its 5 bolts. And take like a broom stick or somethin long that won't brake and a hammer and stick the pole or whatever you have in the cat and beat on it until all that dust crap comes out. You know when its all out cuz can tap on the outside of the cat and it will sound like a long ring vs if you do it full it will sound it a short ring

Its not much of a difference as far as exhuast loudness but there is a lil difference

i gutted my cat and it sounded like ****. so i thought i did it wrong or something so i bought an header dp combo w/no cat. stil sounded like **** just bought a high flow cat for mad cheap 80 buck magnaflow brand new

 

Gutted stock dp sounds like ass. Hell every catless cobalt I've heard sounds like ass.

 

I swapped out my cat for a straight pipe after buying my WOT box and its about 1.5x louder afterwards.
some people dont like the sound but I enjoy it, sounds like a track car or something.

Also, shooting flames on some upshifts is always fun.
