Cyl #4 Dead
I just did the same thin to #1&4 my money would be on a busted ring land..I just pulled mine apart last night now im waiting on the new sleeves to start putting it together...I have a sleeve pulled kit for the ecotecs..if anyone is close to modesto in California.
dont heat the block the sleeves come out really easy
Here's a video of it idling and a slight rev to about 2,300rpm. The car this thread started to be about with the cyl #4 issue. So there is no confusion.

Well arn't you the bearer of bad news. All good, Can I just replace a sleeve with a new one? If so where can I get one, I checked google and didn't see anything. Comparing my options compared to girdled because I'm broke right now.
not pre detonation (aka pre ignition) an engine wont survive that detonation will crack a sleeve or a piston ringland
read this lots of good info in this

*OFFICIAL UPDATE*:
OK. So detonation occured. Immediatly taking it out on the piston ring, which scored the sleeve, and damaged the piston. I'm no genius on valves, so I'm unsure if damage has occured, but I'll have someone look at it. We were expecting a lot more damage than actually occured. But still this requires a new motor or girdled. Looking into it, thanks for the support. Pictures below.

Again, Thanks.
