My '06 Cobalt SS/SC. Took her out for a spin only got on it once and two minutes later she started running like crap as well as making a racket.
No codes, no smoke, all fluids fine and no power.

I'd tell JBP to keep the project car, give you back all the money, and go burn the building down with thier entire staff inside. I don't think its possible to fail harder than they have so far.

Yet you praise JBP all day long.

I've said it before and I will again. JBP can take it deep.

Thanks guys.
It is true that I have the worst luck on this forum with our cars.
I have talked to JBP and the plan is for me to first do a compression test in the morning. If that passes I yank the valve cover off and do a thorough inspection of the valvetrain components.
If the compression test fails off with their head, I mean of with the cylinder head.
Depending on what I find is how I will deal with both this car as well as the project car.
Enough is enough and I told that to JBP.

The fallout from this latest disaster is that my wife wants me to pull the plug on the project car.

Dude thats not cool...

She could also just be fed up with it, and will eventually realize that you cant turn back now...

Thats how i have to work my girlie.. haha...

Im sorry man... Your cars have actually drove me to keep modding the hell out of my lsj.. It would be horrible to see the project have to be stopped..

I know what its like to want to HAVE to listen to the wifey.. And im sure theres probly alot of thoughts about thinking shes right... But personally if she was up to letting you do the project before, her trying to cut it short is a warning to stop ******* up your **** before its done, so she can play with it too ... dude it might not even be blown.. could have just, forgot something..?

And im 100% that you already thought of finding out what happened on this engine and go check the other one for the same problem..?

Ive wanted to get an engine from JBP in time, or atleast some parts from... Is this how their rep stands?

Well for the project car she must understand it's too late for that. You are way past the point of no return and that just needs a little bit more time.

For the DD she might actually some leverage there.

The compression results are in:

120 - 150 - 160 - 150

With a tablespoon of oil squirted into #1 it came up to 125
