debating on putting my header on

I have the mods in sig on my car besides my Header. Now i am debating just selling it and putting 400 into springs and some poly mounts. Will a header really wake my car up that much to be worth it. or is it more for sound. i guess what im asking is how much whp diff will i make by swapping my stock header with the jbp one (btw i am tuned for meth if that makes a diff)

I have personally heard mixed reviews from the power gains of that header. I have yet to see soild proof on it.

One thing if i could advise, stay away from poly mounts unless you enjoy alot of cabin vibes and a unuseable rearview mirror.

With a 2.8" pulley. Swapping to a 1 3/4th header should yield you 10-15whp.

damn didnt know it was that bad of a vibration, might have to look for a diffferent route like a solid top mount (the one on the side where a TD would go)

I'm being conservative with that estimate. zzp has a picture of the stock header on there site and it only has a 1.75" exit. That's pathetic and kills power

All you need is rotated tranny mounts. That alone will stop wheel hop and save your axles and tranny.

I dont see it being that much at all. I dont have proof, but when I switched mine there was not much of a difference.

The vibration is not that bad... I have poly mounts and I can see in my rear view mirror, it gets worse when the AC is on, and you use your rearview when you are driving anyway, so when I am driving I can see perfectly. Personally they helped wheel hop a lot, I get no more.

Also the sound is minimal change when you add a header.

Have you seen the header he is thinking of installing?

Its not just a regular header... Its some crazy **** that doesnt even look like its going to work..

Im with lsj, from what ive heard, its more for sound... then the sound turn into a normal sounding aftermarket after 4k.

There is a thread by someone just a few days ago where ttr said the polys are "minimal vibe" ... the guy described them as being f-14 taking off.. lol..

On the whole, poly mounts thing.

I have the TTR top mount, full pollys in everything. Yes there are vibrations, but unusable mirror? Something tells me they were installed incorrectly if you're having that bad of vibrations.

On start up, the car vibrates a little bit, then it calms down at idle. You can see the rearview mirror shake a -little-. After a few hundred miles of driving, I didn't even notice the slightest bit of a difference. I probably just got used to it.

For $220 for everything, they were damn worth the money. i just think people are nuts when they say it's "insane vibrations"

i'll get video some day and post up.

Also, I'd deal with the pain in the ass myself and install it if I were you. you spent the money already, it's a unique piece, so why not?

Why not install the header since you have it? It's not THAT hard of an install...you can always go back to stock if you dont like it...

The sound supposedly comes from the primaries being unequal length.

Cause it's not functional other than sound? might as well get an intake plug your silencer holes and get this header be slow but it will sound good
