Degrees of Timing
I must not be searching the right thing because I can't find how many degrees of timing the ss/sc runs idling and under boost.
Anybody know where I can find this info, or even know off the top of their heads.
I was also wondering if anybody has had any success with using a SAFC product, whether it be the original, the 2, or the NEO

The hptuners vcm suite does everything you need. It is a scan gauge, tuning software, data logger/recorder etc. Its 499.99 and is absolutely amazing. Buy it, hook it up to the obd2 port, plug it into your usb port in your laptop, install the software and your good to go.
It takes some people a little bit of time to learn hptuners however some pick it up very quickly. I really think its great software and really easy to use. The hardest part imo is learning how to tune the ltft's and the stft's. Getting them both around +/- 5 can be a little difficult, but kinda fun.

So let's say I were to go out to an empty road, and do some pulls. In between these pulls I can stop look at everything on the laptop and adjust accordingly? Also you said it is like a scan gauge, will I know when I hit knock like you do with a scan gauge?
Yes, you can watch and monitor everything live. You can see knock, iat, iat2's, boost, whatever you want. You can change your tune and upload it, takes about 35-40 seconds. It's extremely easy and you can also record up to like an hr or more of data without the laptop.
Example you plug it in, hit record, drive around, come home and hook it up to the laptop and read it all. Or just bring the laptop with and your set.

for 500 its the suite. It's called hptuners vcm suite, go look it up. And yes you can change your timing, your air to fuel ratio, and all of that good stuff. You don't mount it anywhere....its a cord that plugs into your obd2 sensor, has a little square box on the cord that goes to another cord, that goes into your laptop. Just look it up mate.

Ya I felt like a moron asking all those questions so i just went and looked it up. There is a **** ton of stuff that you can do that I didn't even know was possible.
But I'm still curious, how do I know when I hit knock? I understand that once I get everything to the computer i can see, but if I weren't to have the laptop out there how would I know.

No problem man, that's what we are here for. If you have any other questions don't be afraid to ask, but at the same time try and do some research on it yourself to so you can learn some things
. I would go visit the hptuners forum if I were you because tuning is no game. It takes a decent amount of time and knowledge.

Well I went and look at everything that the product offers earlier today, but when the time comes that I have the $ to buy it ill start doin some research on what to adjust and how to adjust it.
Actually imo, you should look up how to use the program before you have the cash and before you buy it. Because if you don't you won't have nearly enough knowledge to actually use the program when you get it. You can ask anyone here, it takes time to learn the proper ways to tune a vehicle. Even more so if you have never done it before.

Well one of the guys I hang out with up here tunes his SRT with a SAFC, so I'm getting to know the basics. Granted I know its whole different animal, but at least I'm getting to know whats going on. But Ill def look into it. I would say I have probably a good 6 months before I even think about buying it.
Right on. Yea the SAFC won't work with our cars and its REALLY different. Once you start researching it on the hptuners forums you will realize what you are getting into. You will see some screenshots and go...yea...ok...wtf is that lol.
