well call around. I hope they don't have to drop the exhaust to weld it. That will be fun to get it through the rear axle

You should have pmed them and taking care of this privately, instead of publicly flaming them.

Got the Exhaust fix...Took it up so the exhaust shop could Weld it...well the welder they needed is off being repaired so they couldn't weld it...just my luck. He was able to get the exhaust on and sealed sounds good now. little loud at the lower RPMs maybe I should invest in a silencer. Sounds good now. If Random Technology fixes the problems it will be a good system. I think they had this fitted for the Cobalt. The exhaust is about 2 - 3" too short

i too have the Dezod exhaust along with the dezod downpipe for the cobalt ss/sc. it definately needs to be welded because the fittings blow off with just the clamps (i found out after the first test drive and had the similar side exhaust sound). RT or Dezod should make a suggestion with installation instructions to have the pipes welded and sealed to avoid leaks. They should also offer gaskets as well!

fitting issues were not that bad for the cobalt ss/sc. I do hear vibration from somewhere, but the exhaust is so damn loud that it dissappears when you're driving. The loudness will decrease over time, but it's still very loud....probably because of the high flow cat. I've grown used to the loudness.

You should PM Paul at Dezod. He's always helpful.

Screw that. I think we should all be made aware when a part doesn't fit worth ****. These companies has LOTS of time to R&D before they release parts. It shouldn't be too hard to make an exhaust that fits.

Ok yes i think we all have to agree that all parts should be properly tested on all vehicles they are being recomended for. Posting a fit issue or product problem on the forums is ok
just be civil about. I know its a Pain In the behind to deal with the issues! but the vendors of the product must be notified as well that there is a problem! I for one like to know what issues are comming for parts and vendors good or bad that is why I joined this forum!

Just the way i feel about this issue guys Thanks for listining!

DITTO. Well put. I'm sure that everyone will have a little bit of disappointment when things don't turn out well....especially if you're dishing out a good amount of $$ for these products. Personally, being in sales myself...I tend to want to help customers who are polite and tend to not want to help those who are total dicks about the situation.

Honestly, I'm very satisfied with the Dezod exhaust as well as some other members on this forum. It just sucks that you had a bit of issues...that obviously can be fixed.

Thanks for listening as well.

Yeah I agree be nice to have a gasket. I think I hear a slight Vibration too. The car does seem like its not quite as loud as it was when I 1st installed it. I can actually hear the SC at WOT. Was the Header DP and High Flow Cat worth it. more Problems.

I have the GM performance parts honed header...so fitting issues were not a problem. The RT high flo cat downpipe fits perfectly. My only fitting issue was exhaust tip not wanting to stay centered with the opening of the rear bumper facia. Every so often I'll just use my foot to center it.

Unfortunately, I have not had any sound/loudness comparison with a person with just the stock downpipe and the dezod exhaust. With the downpipe, at WOT I can no longer hear the supercharger whine. All i hear is the exhaust note. I think some users are concerned about getting pulled over or attracting attention.

From what I'm told, the exhaust should quiet down after driving the car over time. Or you can put an additional resonator on.

The only vibration I hear is when I'm at idle, and I just haven't had time to get under the car to inspect where it's coming from.
