It's factory pistons made by MAHLE? I (well Luke A.K.A. Stryder) noticed this when he picked up one of the several LSJ Stock Piston rod combos I have sitting in my garage

Yes I did. Did you also know that they are made from the exact same material as the ones Mahle makes for the stock SRT-4? People always think that they are the extreme weak point when their motor blows, but yet people have been able to run turbos pretty high up on them so far without issues. Amazing isn't it when you get rid of the crazy heat generator!

You ain't kidding. I would have glady paid $400 dollars more for my car to come with forged slugs from the factory!

Its funny you bring this up because when I posted this I was thinking maby these pistons are a contributing factor on why Paul can make sooo much power on a stock motor. No I know the rest of the LSJ is very strong but I always had doubts about the pistons. Not that I still dont but seeing that name on there just makes it that much less stressfull.

Of course this dont say much for the handfulls of people who have fried thier number 2 pistons but as you ankd I know the stock piston failure in most cases is probably related to other things.

Yeah, it's nice to know Mahle made them, but at the same time you have to wonder WTF was GM thinking! If you are getting the pistons from Mahle, why the hell don't you just get the good ones?

I am a firm believer that heat and bad tuning are serious downfalls to peoples engines on here. Not only is Paul defying the limits, but so isn't Hahn and several others by swapping to turbos. Also, remember that Paul once ran a 2.55" pulley to 294whp with meth and a ton of other supporting mods before the turbo came.
