do i need to?
All i have is the stage 2 on my car. The rest of the car is stock. My question is, if I add the injen CAI, will I need to unplug my battery for the install. 2)If I unplug the battery, will it reset the computer back to stock. 3) Will the boost psi go up, down, or stay the same? I'm installing tomorrow so any help will be most welcomed.
1) Yes/No - 1. If you pull the battery the computer will reset its trims and codes. This "may" make it build the new fuel trims faster for the extra air your are pulling in. 2. It may do 1, but if you just go drive the car it will also do the same thing. I have never seen any proof that unplugging the battery actually makes the computer adjust itself any faster.
2) No
3) You may see a slight increase in psi, but it won't be huge.

You don't lose your radio station presets just the time.
Best bet is to just pull the battery do the install reseat the battery let the car run parked for 3 minutes and according to several people the chance of throwing a code is much less. Also remeber to clean the MAF sensor if it's not a dryflow filter.
Hope this helps!

if you dont unplug your battery you will be ok, everything has a ground so its unlikely that you'll ruin it. look at it this way, if you unplug your desktop computer out of the wall, do you lose your programs, and files? no. if you do unplug your battery you will lose your radio presets, that about it. your computer does lose things but not your tune. it will lose your driving habbits. and your MPG will reset. your car is smart then you think, it remebers how you drive, and adjusts its self to give you the best MPG, and other things. Resting your computer will make it so that it has to relearn.
