Exclamation Do Not Buy Weapon R Header

I bought my weapon r header about 4 months ago and just had it installed yesterday. Not only did it not fit at all, but the tubing had to be cut to fit onto the stock exhaust. To make matters worse it didnt even fit onto the manifold correctly and needed to be grounded down.

In addition to all this BS, I have a coolant leak now, and had to bring my car to the dealership to have them take a look. Im throughly pissed off, and have come to the conclusion that whoever created the weapon R header for our cars was on crack, and needs a bullet in the forehead.

Does anyone know what action I can take to resolve this problem? Should I contact the Better Business Bureau? What other agencies can I contact in case weapon R wont help me?

when you say it didn't fit the stock exhaust, or manifold, you mean throttle body, right?

it's been said that the header is about 2" long and the stock exhaust would need to be cut... as for it not fitting to the block I never heard of that.

I got the piece of sh&t 2 piece header from them. Ill be on the phone aptly with weapon R tomorrow.

thinking about how much money Ive spent on the thing already makes me sick:
$584 for the header
$175 for install
$x to get my coolant leak fixed!!

The weapon r header is NOT a direct bolt in, you HAVE to cut it and weld it in. Also what took solong to get it.

well, the dealership gave me the verdict to get it fixed along with an estimate. They said it was going to cost anywhere between $6-700 to fix it, and the header had to be removed and the stock one put back on...

since it was touching a water pipe when it was installed, the pipe cracked and now coolant is leaking bad. I left teh dealership with a full coolant tank after they topped it off, when not 3 min down the road I got a LOW COOLANT warning. I popped open the hood, low and behold the reservior was almost empty. Luckily I had some coolant in the back seat so I filled her up again and drove back to the dealer to leave it until its fixed. They said I should have it back next week and are loaning me a free rental for the weekend.

I dont know whos gonna pay for the damage, but i certainly feel I shouldnt have to.

Whoever installed the header in the first place should pay for the fix.

did the dealership take the cross member off before they tried to put the header on, if not then no wonder they broke ****, also if they tried to cheat by not taking it off they it their fault, id find out if they took the cross member off or not, if they didnt they id bitch.
I talked to weapon r last week and they have no fitment problems and everything should fit fine. Apparently your dealership didnt know what they were doing or you recieved bad stock.

**** happens! Don't jump the company right away when something goes wrong. Talk to weapon r first and see what they have to say about it. They have allot of great products and not every thing is bad! If we flame every company pretty soon nobody will want to make any thing for our cars. Anyway good luck on the resolution of your problem.

Why would you make a thread like this without first contacting the company?

there were no instructions, only parts.

The header was put onto the manifold correctly, but it wasnt designed to fit without touching that damn water pipe... Ill have pics of the install next week before the dealer fixes it.
