do you need to remove control arm bolts to change clutch

when changing the clutch and slave cylinder do you need to remove the bolts for lower control arms to change clutch?

rear bolt of subframe on passenger side in the front? is it like a 6 inch bolt?

i ask because i got a new clutch at the dealership and when i was driving home a 6 inch bolt dropped and i lost control of the car and it looks like its part of the control arm or a buddy said could be a subframe bolt...it came from the passenger side...
