Yeah I like duals. I just think it looks good. Especially with the RK Sport Body Kit. I know you are splitting pipes, but better to do that then get a dummy exhaust and have it do nothing.

SLP made a dual exhaust as well. 1 car with it on currently, more pipes waiting production. It comes with a cutout for the rear lip. Looks ok, but not for me.

Hey, PsykoStevo, Did you cut your lower bumper to match and then bondo it, or did you buy an aftermarket skirt? I was thinking of doing a dual, but i'm not sure if i want to cut my stock parts up

Go in the How-to section and look for my write up.

Cut the stock parts and then used plastic sheet and body filler. It's in the write up.

Thanks! It's floating around the country somewhere. So someone else will have it soon enough. Just can't wait til that person thinks they are going to be buying or modding that car any more. That thing was maxed as far as safe mods go.

For performance yes, but it does allow a different tunability of exhaust tone.

And to think that you were on my "to rep" list.
I have a 4 cylinder and because of the addition of a differential and axles, as well as a 4 link suspension, I look at the likely hood that I won't be able to easily run a 3" pipe out the back of the car.
That means running the exhaust out the side, behind the door.
Here comes my next problem, I, by nature/design, am a symmetrical type person, meaning the idea of a pipe sticking out of only one side of the car doesn't work for me.
This means splitting the pipe and running it out both sides.
Is this a dual exhaust? No.
Is there a reason for 2 pipes? Yes.
Is this rice? Not IMO.

Same reason I did it initially, the good sound was just an positive side effect.

That is all the reason a person needs.
When they suggested sticking a pipe out of one side I said no way. The guy didn't get it. His brain isn't wired to symmetry and that's fine, except, it's not his car.

I put a dual exhaust on my car,but i didnt do it for performance.I knew i wasnt gonna get any horsepower from it,i just wanted the rear of the car to look symmetrical, like victory red ss was saying.I like the looks and the sound of it.I get alot of compliments for it.Most people think the car came with the dual exhaust from the factory.I think it makes the rear end of the car stand out more.Plus, there not big cannons,so the cops dont hassle me for them.I like doing little things to the car so it stands out from other cobalts.I like to be different, lol.
