So this kid had his cobalt ss at school. (gm technician training) looked like a real piece of ****. 'painted eylids with overspray on the lights, front bowtie fell off, rear one you could see where he superglued it on, interior trim painted lime green.
anyway, i asked him what he had in it, he said 'stage 2 with forged internals'
anyways, we get to talking.
he claimed to have built race cars and all this ****. i am not the most car savy guy, hence why im in school. but none of what he said made any sense at all to me.
he said he had all his internals forged....telling me he got all his parts from gm
claiming: gm cams, gm forged pistons, gm forged rods, gm forged crank. and some other parts i cant remember.
he also said he had the 2.4 head on it so that it raised his compression, and that he got the timing chain and cam gears to go with it.
said he made 425whp supercharged.
i said not on that supercharger you didnt.
he said "i had an eaton"
i said that is an eaton.
he said ya a shitty one. listed off a bunch of different eaton part numbers.
then i asked what he used to cool the charge temps
he said "a bigger intercooler. i also have a spacer to go between the intake manifold and supercharger, cools temps 30-40%. i was pushing 20 psi before"
i didnt even know what to say to the kid honestly.
he said he went back to stock because he was getting 11mpg before lol.
he mentioned nothing about upgrading anything but the engine, didnt even mention tuning. he had the stock exhaust and intake on there.
idk what to really make of the kid. most of what he said just sounded retarded.

he said he wouldnt race me for less than 1000 bux. then i said ok, just to see what he said. started saying he didnt wanna blow up his motor and it wouldnt be worth it cuz its his daily driver. then said he would race me in his dart

I squeaked a 13.9@105 out of my setup. What did you end up running as your best with your stage 2 setup?

14.2 with clutch slip. i learned by myself driving stick and didnt understand the concept of clutch slip and glazing, so i ruined the stock clutch. stage 4 clutchmaster now though!

The 2.0 and 2.4 head are not easily swappable due to the 2.4's VVT(it has been tried once with no success i think)
A company(intense i think) makes a super charger spacer that has a port for spraying meth, but it doesn't lower temps 40% its more like 40*
