You should try pulling in 4th with a gear ratio 'closer' to a 1:1

Dyno racing is fun, but the buck stops at the track. What's your trap speed?
jesus im tired of people bringing this up
4th is closer to 1:1 by freaking .07...
on two equal temps and conditioned pulls, that will make a difference of MAYBE 5hp
so either 3rd or 4th is fine...

Here's an example of the difference between 3rd and 4th.

Yep, 3rd gear on my pulls was near 10whp vs the 4th gear run....it was funny though I kept trying to tell the guy at the shop that 4th gear was closer to 1:1 than 3rd gear...but he insisted on telling me "it didn't matter"...lol, the dyno speaks for itself.

his numbers aren't unbelievable... his gains are. i could make your cobalt dyno at 850whp with the press of a button... it's not hard, but those gains with those parts are unrealistic. hell if that was the case, i bet the psi-fi kit would net a 75+hp gain on that dyno lol
Damn there are some serious knee-biters on here. I know DVS and Chevypowered personally- I wasn't at the dyno, but have raced both of them- they are FAST. I'm in a stock SS/SC, and both of them pulled me by bus lengths (except for that one race where you kept missing gears dvs lol.) Go ahead, call driver error. Whatever.
As i said- neither of these guys are BS'ers so I believe it completely after having ridden with CP and having raced against both of them.

and your little link you posted proves this...look at the times for the first two runs, back to back, first one is third, second is fourth within one minute of eachother...bad idea for comparing dynos
and those numbers for those gears are wrong...
the f35 tranny has 3rd at 1.18 and 4th at 0.89

Don't forget they did a 3rd, 4th, then another 3rd on that dyno sheet though.
even a cool down of more than 3 minutes can make a difference when it comes to heat soak on a motor, just watch your coolant temps sometime when you get on it, only difference on this is that you are in open moving air. a fan helps, but not for the sake of back to back runs. the fact that 4th is closer by .07 will make a difference of about 5-7hp, add heat soak and theres your difference. heat soak can make a differnce of 5hp or more...ive seen it...in the same gear too, not different gears...
Here is the dyno sheet. Sorry, no scanner and the pic from camera came out blurry.
