Dyno Results Stage 1

Just had my car dyno'd today. Don't have a camera but will borrow one and get some pics online in the next couple of hours. As for the numbers, it put down 236 hp and 216 tq.

My mods are stage 1, CAI, and the ingalls engine torque dampner. Going later today to get pulley installed and Ill post up the dyno result from stage 2 along with pictures later on tonight. Wish me luck!!

Not bad. Not bad at all. I can't wait to see the new numbers with the 3 inch pulley. You should see close to 245-250 easily.

I'm hoping the number in his sig isn't his baseline dyno...If so stage 1 barely gained anything....It's just for torque....But the way he explains it, it seems as if he has the stage 1 to 2 upgrade as well (the 3 inch pulley).

Its in my sig. HP gains arent all that great but the torque curve is pretty good. I get
200lbs tq at 3500rpm and torque doesnt drop below 200 until 5900rpm with a peak of 216 in there somewhere. Once I post the gragh in comparison with the stock one it doesnt look so bad. It feels pretty good though. Its super rich so I need to put the pulley to get the most out of the stage kits.

I hope to god those weren't both done on the same dyno!

231 and 206 doesn't seem right for stock anyways. The new numbers seem to be pretty close to what they should be

Thumbs up

It is what it is. Did two 4th gear pulls, one hot and then one cold. The hot run got me me 226hp, 201lbs tq. The whole point of this is to track gains through each mod anyways. There too many variables to consider when assuming what a decent run should look like. Dont take any of this personal because I dont. I just trying to do homework that others cant afford.

Thanks for the info. Just seems funny that GM claims only 5 ft-lb gain in torque and 30 hp, but your results show more of a torque gain, than hp. Not calling bs, just noting the oddity.

Why is everyone so fixated on the peak HP/Torque? What really matters is that you have a high and fairly flat torque curve and a strong steadly raising HP curve. If your Torque doesn't start raising until late in your RPM band, it doesn't really help you.

The best way to compare is with a chart, but if you don't have that, then compare the lower 25% (of the RPM band) average, middle 50% average, upper 25% average, and overall average. That'll give you an idea of how much HP/Torque your getting off the line, across your full range, and when your pegging it flat out before a shift. Also comparing the different area averages against the overall would help your figure out where you want to try to keep your RPMs for max performance.
