Nope, exhaust won't effect the a/f. The a/f is exactly what it says. I have the INTENSE Stage 4 + 2.5" pulley and installed a Dezod 2.75" cat back (freaking love it) and I even threw the rich code the other day. Stock intake even.

I plan on shipping my s/c down to LFP and get it ported and then I will save more money and just go up to Columbus and have Scott tune the car one last time for the year.

I understand that the intense and GM tunes are a base tune, but i don't understand intense, Why would you make a stage 4 and 5 and not include an intake in your tune. Don't get me wrong not every one is running an intake with there stage kits but if your going to spend almost a grand or more on a stage kit you might aswell have an intake. With out it your not even getting all the air to the supercharger, there for restricting the performance. I just think intense should have incorperated an intake or gave an option for it when buying their PCM.

When Scott Cook tunes the cars his goal is to have a 11.8 A/F...tried making it very linear from around 3000 to redline...just check out the dynos from the stages...he tried getting them all very close. I don't think 12.2 is bad at all...but when going high up on the rpm scale you definitely don't want to be around 14 or 13

Because the stock intakes are actually pretty efficient in these cars. The MAP sensors on these cars is so touchy and with how little breathing in the engine bay the car has to stay cool it suffers severly from heat soak. I had a weapon r intake and was actually feeling more power putting the stock intake back on my rl.

I agree somewhat though...everyone is going to do an intake, so why not?

Rob Archer has a 3.5" intake now with a LT1 MAF sensor even...

I know the stock intakes are pretty good but you cant say they are as good as an intake other wise our A/F wouldn't get throughn off so much.

The best saying is better rich than lean...you don't get max power out of running heavier but pretty much the only bad thing that can happen from running a little rich is foul your spark plugs which is a quick $8 fix...unlike a hole through a piston.

Actually it is the touchy MAF sensors that throw the air off too much. Scott pulled up the MAF table on my car when it was pretty much stock and he was amazed with how touchy it is.

I dynoed 253 HP and 227 TQ(in my sig) with my Intense stage 3/intake/exhaust. When i actually got my car tuned i found out i was getting knock, so i think thoses numbers are a little low. My fastest run with my stage 3/I/E was 14.2 @101mph. I think you still should have dynoed higher. They only way to know is to find someone with hptuners and indivdually tune your.

yea, i went to ProMotion Tuning, they are just starting to sell products for the cobalt and i believe are working on becoming a vendor for this site. A dealership is giving them an 06 or 07 redline to toy with, so I gave them HP Tuners name and he said he would look into it tomorrow. So maybe they will get it and can tune my car, i want to buy hp tuners but i would have no clue how to use it...

I got a 13.8@103 with my setup. I don't have any knock. I am running an intake and full exhaust. The intake was a pain in the ass to tune for though. I am seriously thinking of taking it off to see how things feel.

I was there when the setup did 270 with a 2.5 hell i dynoed after rob and did 271hp but 20 less ftlb tq.

the intense guys are a stand up crew and will stand behind their work. Call em and talk to em. They spend over 10k a yr in dyno time they provide for free to help further the gp/lsj community...I dynoed in like april ad i was already their 84th free dyno tune or somethign like that...crazy

Intake and smaller pulley will give you torque. Is everyone running on Dynojets? This is weird, I can see tempature, humidity and elevation play a factor but the number differences are crazy! Take off your air box and you have a classic stock CAI that seems just as good as the other ones.

My stage 2 results are below on a Mustang Dyno. Im sure if I had an intake and 2.8 my hp wouldnt go up much maybe 10 but my torque would be probably even with the hps

Sorry i cant scan this but here are the numbers.

3rd Gear Pulls-Dyno Jet

HP-244.20 TQ-233.25-Humidity58%-86.29 Degrees
HP-240.45 TQ-228.45-Humidity61%-85.01 Degrees
HP-244.36 TQ-231.46-Humidity61%-84.91 Degrees

They said i was running a little lean, my A/F ratio slowly went down from 12.3-12.2 after 5000(Basically when i hit full boost of 17psi)

Hopefully this ship will be able to tune my car soon so i can through on a 2.5" pulley and my intake...

Thoughts? comments on A/F appreciated.

my buddy dave just called me from the dyno

billetflow 2.7
Injen CAI
60lbers
GMPP Sport Catback
My tune

250whp and 236wtq...dont have charts in fron of me yet but dyno op said thre are a few spots where where we can add a degree or 2 for maybe another 5hp. Said I also have to pull a deg or 2 in 2 spots cause they saw a hair of KR consistently at the same spots.

Before his dyno was like 243 and 219tq. wth 2.9, injen CAI, GMPP CATBACK, and stock injectors...But he gained over 25whp at points...I'm excited to see it

I'll keep you guys updated!

Pretty good numbers. I haven't been on the board in awhile, has anyone broken the 300whp mark yet?

no im hoping to break 280HP when i get my car dynoed, when i had my intense stage 3 tune, intake, exhaust, 2.9" pulley and 42.5# injectors i dynoed 253HP/227TQ. Dave made more torque cuz of the smaller pulley. Dan we need to add that degree of timing back in tonight to see how it runs.
