i dunno, were yours 3 or 4th gear pulls
i run 93 octane only and some how my car is running super rich the day it got dynod
prolly due to the heat
i plan on getting another few runs in plus track times

***EDIT:THis was my baseline dyno, no mods, just carefully maintained, broken in and 93 octane only***

Unless we know SAE, STD, correction factors used it's hard to compare why he dynoed so high. So many possibilities. Having been around the SRT-4 community for a few years I can tell you all you're going to see some trends. You'll find most cars dyno similar, you'll find the odd car that dynos abnormally high stock. It happens. My friend dynoed over 250WHP stock on an SRT-4. We all knew it was a freak dyno run, not a freak car. He's no faster than a regular SRT-4, even though his dyno looks 20+ hp higher.

I personally trust trap speeds more than dyno #'s. Dyno's are just a tuning device, particularly for FI cars. I want to see some of these 230 WHP cars go run a 13 bone stock.

BTW, I saw one SS dyno in person. His results were almost identical to yours. ~209 and ~186. You're ok.

Cliff notes : Don't dyno race, drag race.

I believe he used a dyno jet. all though not as accurate but it will help in tuning. srt-4's dyno at 230whp and 245wtq stock on a dyno jet. so that is an easier comparison.

Thumbs up

I noticed the wrong date too, but sweet numbers in the heat! GM underated hp numbers on the LS1 cars and I bet they did the same for the Cobalt SS. It's just a 205 hp Cobalt SS (at the wheels... ).
