E-85 ?

Alright I know I have seen it but after an hour of searching I am just going to make this thread. What all do you need to run E-85 on the lsj? I already have the areomotive pump and 80's what else do I need? return style?

It all depends on your mods. If you list your mods it will help get you a better answer.

Im running 60s on e85 with almost the same mods.
I recomend a stock fuel pump works well the aeromotive isnt set up to handle the corrosiveness of the e85.

You won't make 400whp with that build on a 2.9" pulley on the TVS. Realistically, your looking around 350-360whp with a fuel system setup that can support your mods.

On the stock fuel system, your car will probably make ~330whp before maxing the setup.

With a Return Style Fuel system and the stock pump you will make between 340-350whp before maxing out the pump. That is where I am at with a stock longblock and 2.7" pulley on the TVS. I am running about 70psi of FP at WOT and my IDC hits 100% around 7200rpms. I have not tried bumping the FP yet but I would like to get the IDC into the low 90s at WOT. I am pretty sure the stock pump is near its wall.

If you want to make more then ~350whp with 80s you will need a RSFS and a high flowing pump.

Get OTTP's Return style system with the DW300 Fuel pump.

Return Style Fuel System For LSJ

It is a very well put together kit and worth every single penny.

That fuel system setup should be able to support almost 400whp.

With your build and a 2.7" pulley on the TVS, you could realistically make 370-400whp with a really good tune. Breaking 400whp is going to be very difficult without increasing your displacement. But you have the right build to get close.

Those numbers are with E right? And would adding water or meth injection help anything?

Awesome I appreciate it man. I knew it would be hard as hell to make 400 without changing the displacement but I figured I could get damn close

Yes. Just E85 and they are all approximate. Differences in dyno and tunes can make a big difference on the final numbers.

Guys with ported head have seen between 360-380whp. I personally have not seen any dyno results from a 2.0L TVS cars with ported head and cams. A lot of guys are running them but they are scare of the dyno or something...

I have seen one ZZP 2.4L stroker with ported head and stage 2 cams break 400whp but I can't find the thread at the moment. I am not talking about Turbo Tim's Stroker Redline.

you might want to dump the 80's and get 1000's

i have a redline of 7k with a tvs and 2.7
running 80's return style and a dw300
and my idc's are 85% with a max fuel pressure of 75psi and a base of 50psi

Some water injection would hurt. It will help keep the charged air temps down.

Would it really make a difference while running e-85?

The lower the charged air temps the better.

Just water injection with e85 on a 7 gph jet i saw a 5* drop in iat2
Not worth it
My iat2's hit 135 at the end of a hard pull back to back
Which at 25 psi isn't too bad

Would a bit of windshield washer help then? Not for tuning, only getting those iat2 temps lower

Really. I would like to see the before and after logs to check differences in Ambiant air temps, IAT1s ect...

5* was was with a 7 gph nozzle

which at 25psi isnt enough

imo i needed a bigger jet or a small mix of meth in there

but i see no reason because i rarely see anything over 140* iat2
