im considering this for my new motor.. I would have to buy a new water pump anyway.
after doing a bit of reading there's really not any horros stories out there... just a lot of ppl checking in with how long there pumps have been on and still working.

btw, others interested in this, you can get a davies-craig ewp80 on ebay for 199.99 free shipping.

The 80 flows more than 20gph...
Ewp115 is only like $25 more but it has to be in a 90* section of hose, the 80 can go inline.

Mezeire pumps are rated at 3000-5000 hours.. So at even 3hrs a day driving (which is a lot) that's 1000 days min...
1.5 hr/day 2000 days... Over 5 years.

why so high a seat pressure? I remember area47 saying about something with engine harmonics with just 82lb springs when I did mine. Of course there was nothing wrong after my build and went down as forum phlegm in my experience.

10,000 rpm redline is y
Wen gm did there drag N/A cars they used these springs otherwise with 20+ psi of boost and a huge cam valve float is possible. I want to make sure the valve train stays tight if u know wat i mean.

How long will an engine like that last? Do you spend a lot of time in 7000-10000 to use that power band or is that going to be strictly racecar?

I am finding it hard right now, for me, to justify going on with the cost of ati balancer, installing the cams, etc. Just trying to juggle daily driver vs stuff I wont use very often (high revs...) My project has always been about the DD and logevity but its hard to draw the line. I want to just keep going... Cobalt is my cocaine. Its a heck of a drug.

Well Im ddin my cobalt for now till i finish me cavalier engine next week i hope. Then the cobalt will be strictly a weekend race car again. I ride my motorcycle lot more now with the weather being better. Well Im planing to pull the engine every winter for rings and bearings. Cuz the rings i had to go with were a lil on the thin side for my liking. But only time will tell.

Having a rev limiter that high will allow me to stay in the throttle longer than most ppl cuz i believe u r loosing momentum wen u r between gears. That's my thoughts. Just cuz ill be able to rev to 10,000 rpm dosnt mean i will every race. The engine in my car now spent alot of time in the 7000-8000 rpm range. At least 10-15 times a weekend. For the entire summer. Street racing for money is big in my area. Its not common to win or loose 300$ a weekend.
