Is there a way to enable the orange shift light on an 07 SS/SC? I don't remember seeing anything in HP Tuners and I don't think the WOT Box has any way to make it work. Or does it? lol

Just wondering after bumping the limiter on accident and seeing the light come on, lol.

Iirc after a certain rpm it comes on. I think kenny mentioned it, or blue lightning, or maybe it was infraredline. .... damn i know there was chat about it somewhere

 

I want to find a way to make it light up for best gas mileage like it does in the LS/LT/XFE 5 speed Cobalts. Searched for a bit but couldn't find ****.

 

I talked to Vince at Trifecta about this as I wanted to use it as a shift light and he says it's a no go.

Just buy a shift light. I don't watch the tach. I listen to the motor. These are cool.

there is a table for it on hpt, but it doesnt work. if i recall correctly, it only works with gms3. using vinces gms3 seems like the only option. unless you dont mind not having air conditioner with the gms3 from gm

There is a selection for engine over spin lamp in HP tuners.
I havent messed with it though as I use my interceptor.

 

N2MB wotbox has capabilty of adding LED shift light. Instructions on their website

 

Shift lights on the console are generally invisible bud, the RX8's all have it and most the time the damn chime is more effective than that damn light. My ZX-10R has an adjustable one, I set it a whole 1K rpm's early and I never notice it. You want a shift now light to help out buy a tach with a indicator like a drag car, or get a better exhaust.

I always thought the car made a certain pitch change before the engine killing cutout/limiter came on.
