Engine life

My 110 mile commute to work has put A LOT of miles on my SS. It has 166k freeway miles so for giggles I did a proper compression test. It had 195psi on all 4. Obviously it's still pretty solid, at least another 1-2 years of life if I continue to not beat on it.

All that said, I actually bought a 2.85 pulley and 60# injectors like 2 years ago but never did anything with them because I started debating on a turbo setup as well. It's obviously cheaper to just slap the pulley and injectors on there, I'd just have to buy a heat exchanger, likely a dual pass, and get a tune. But my stock idler pulley is going bad, which made me think Hey you'd have to replace that with a 2.2 pulley if you turbo swap. See how my mind works!? How much abuse will an M62 w/ 166k miles take, and is it safe to up the boost at this point? It's my DD so keep that all in mind. Suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks all

you can just as easily replace it when you put the smaller blower pulley on it as well since the blower needs to come off.....

the blower should be just fine when it breaks fix it.

a good tune and you should be just fine

wow very healthy engine for that kind of miles. If you get a proper tune with the pulley/inj, then it'll still last for a very long time

I have 180k miles on my Redline, turbo swapped running ~23psi, still runs just fine (e85).
