I have a 07 SS SC and i am having some problems with my car accelerating in 4th and 5th gear at about 4000 rpms.... It struggles like i am redlining the car and it cant go any faster... Plus my check engine light is on and when i am at about 4000 rpms it blinks.... I have no clue what it could be. Any ideas could help!

 

what are your mods (if any) to the vehicle

 

misfire, blinking CEL is a misfire, take it to the dealer, youy got probs.

 

I have a injen intake and thats it... should the problem be covered by waranty?

 

Definatly take that in as soon as possible, especially if your seeing a CEL.

 

Take off the CAI and take it in. Dealers love to blame everything on simple mods.

bet ya $50 its a dirty MAF.
get some electrical cleaner, clean your MAF sensor.

 

yeah umm i had this problem on an 07 stage 2 IRL.. after 3 weeks and new MAF and injector seals the engineer didnt know what was up.. tryed blameing it on my k and n intake.. but then corperate stepped in and said thats not the problem.. fix it as it sits.. i had a few other mods.. god i miss that car..

 

Solid CEL = Emission Code
Flashing CEL = Misfire

 

well there is no real noise when i rev my engine out of my exhaust, i can hear my engine and supercharger thats it

no your cat should be fine, thats emissions. the guy above says that if your CEL is blinking then its a misfire. it could be a dirty MAF sensor or something with the ignition. go to advance and have them scan it and see whats wrong and what code(s) your throwing. they will scan the car for free.
