Not the spark plugs, tell them you want a GM engineer there to tell you WTF happened.

Just out of curiosity, what spark plugs did you have in there?

Seriously though, somethings up here.
No one blows an engine on stock.... well, ALMOST no one blows an engine on a stock set up.

If you actually put step hotter plugs in your car it could definately cause some nasty preignition. I think something fishy is going on as well, but it is possible if you completely disreguard everything and put a random plug in your car.

MY question is why the hell didn't you just put the stock plugs back in? Wouldn't the extra $10 if you had to buy a new set be worth more than a new engine?

i did and they still didnt cover it

plus as soon as it happened i just had it towed to the dealership

it was weird the exhaust had a real loud noise coming out of it and the engine wouldnt idle... they when i checked the compression in the #3 and 4 cyllinders there was little to no compression in those 2.... the 1 and 2 cyllinders were the only ones at good compression.... not only that but the mechanic at the dealership couldnt get the spark plug out the 1st cylinder
