Error codes...need some help!

Error codes...need some help!

ok, i am throwing a P0171: System too Lean (Bank 1), and a P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction....ne ideas what would cause these?? (other than the obvious issue with the crank sensor)

p0171 is from your intake. make sure everything is tight, installed correctly, and if so safe to delete. not sure about the other one.

My guess is that your MAF is dirty. It can cause those errors when it is coated with filter oil.

Means your running to lean. id go get it retuned again asap. and for the second is. do you spray that oil **** that comes with the filter? if so then that will mess with the sensor

well...im not running any tuning....should i clean my maf and suggest a reflash from the dealer?

you don't need a tune OR a reflash. like i said, make sure everything is on correctly, and if it is it's safe to delete that code.

ok, i will take a look at it.....now as for the crank sensor malfunction, im thinkin i should take it to the dealer for that one...

::sigh:: the 171 code. and 172 code is not caused by oil on the maf. it is caused by the ltft trims being above 17.6 +/- for an extended period of time. this happens a lot in the winter time.

clear it and move on.
