Question Exhaust..........

I dont have the money for a full catback exhaust right now, but i want to get some sound out of my ss/sc. I dont want any honda civic coffee can, just a nice deep throaty muffler. Anybody have any ideas/sound clips??? My other problem is what to do about hangers, the stocker has two welded on but a universal one wont???????

better off to just save up alittle longer then! do it right the 1st time and only have to do it once! You can get the GMP for $379 and even the Magnaflow for mid $400's. Just save up alittle more, you'll be much happier with the results

or go buy the muffler on the exhaust you like bring it to an exhaust shop and get it made for a fraction of the cost mine was 195 for 2.5 catback w/ flowmaster and I have seen others got the same setup for 150

it sounds high at start up but once it's warmed up it is pretty deep until you get into the higher rpms. It is also very loud. Mine is a 40 series 2.5 catback no resinator and I love it

just wondering so i dont have to make a thread, but is there any benefit to the exhaust if i eliminate the resonator with a straight pipe?

Well, I put one of those Ebay Tsudo headers on my 2.4L and had to move the converter farther back, so I had a high flow converter installed and cut out the resonator and left the stock muffer. It sound like what I would expect the performance touring exhaust sounds like. It is deeper and throaty under power but quiet while cruising and at idle.
Removing the resonator alone would just increase the volume of the exhaust.
