exhaust gas temperatures.

Hi is anyone running an egt gauge in their car.I am running a 2.5" pulley w 60# injectors Just put my gauge in and wondering what is normal under hard acceleration.I have the sensor in #4 cyl aprox 3" from the head.

never heard of anyone doing that, probably a good idea since #4 is the first to fail.

What do you normally see?

Yea whats your temps? also your best bet is to get a Uego or some type of wideband in your downpipe.

I am running about 1400 f under full throttle acceleration 1200 cruising Idle sits just over900. I have a wideband and afrs at full throttle are 11.8-12.2 ish.

I think there is something wrong with the thermo coupler or poss the gauge.
I used an infer red temp gun and it reads 800 when the egt gauge reads 1300 I sent an e mail off to autometer to see what they say.
