ok so im in the process of ordering a resonator for my custom 3" header back..i wanna know whats the longest resonator i can put on my ss/sc?? also would it be better to get 2 short ones?? or 1 long one??

 

I have one and it helped a little bit, not much tho.

 

one long one would be my choice. prob cheaper to and easier install

 

yea thats what im thinking...but whats the longest i can get with no fitment issues?

 

i bought a 30 inch resonator for mine and its like 4 inches to long so i would have to say no longer than 26 inches long... but im going to buy an 18 inch resonator just to be sure

 

depends if your building your own downpipe or not. im custom from the header back, no cat, and i had a 36" resonator in there (it was 6" diameter so it hung low) and i had about 10" before were the exhaust needs to bend. if i wanted i could have easily fit the 44" cherry bomb, but cherry bombs suck on cobalts (i know this first hand). i now run a 28" long 4" diamter resonator, fits great and i even have room to put a cat in if i want.
