Exhaust Setup

Has any thought about the exhaust setup, im sure you have but being new to the tuner world I have questions about a good setup. Ex. Having let's say the GMPP exhaust with the XTC 3" DP w/o cat and stock manifold. Would this setup work well?? I would think that if your looking for performance that it would be best to have the same dimensions for the entire exhaust header to cat-back. Any thoughts??? Does it matter that much or would any increase in size anywhere in the exhaust help???? Opinions are fine but looking for knowledge here folks. Theres talking about 3" losing torque and 2.25" being to restrictive. Any info or link would be greatly appreciated.

im probly gonna get the CTI header and DP which means im going 3" collector with 3"DP tapering to a 2.5" outlet connecting to the resonator, and my 2.5" corsa exhaust. If i were you i would buy an aftermarket header, your already buying a DP so why not get a header as well.

Well i plan on getting a header, DP and CB but first i wanna figure out whats best. If we take ur setup and just swap to a 3" cat-back what would be the difference, if any?

personally i dont thing anything, you might loose a little bit of torque, if any, maybe 2-3 TQ, im sure within the next day people will be all on this thread telling you to get a 3" exhaust, get what you want and what you think sounds the best. I know i only got a 2.5" which doesnt flow as much as a 3" but i havent seen any dynoes of a 3" exhaust outperfoming the corsa, because of it straight through. I'm also going catless when i get my header and DP setup.

I personally think 3" is for turbos, I know you want to get the exhaust out as fast as you can but also some scavaging helps the SC for the low end torque. Althought i dont care that much about 2-3 tq. Asking these questions because the only exhaust us canadians can get for a decent price is the GMPP which is 2.25".

BTW when I do my header and DP I will be going catless as well.

if im not mistaken the GMPP is 2.5 as well, if its not then buy the corsa the price has dropped drastically since i bought mine. It was $805, thank god for G/Fs, now i think you can get one for like $630 shipped.

Corsa Touring is what I really want but what kills me is the shipping and customs by the time it gets to my door it will be $1000 CAN.

BTW GMPP is 2.25 BOOOO same as the borla.
