ok so I have a stock header, 2.5" XTC cat-less downpipe and now a megan exhaust...and it's loud as fuuuuucccck. The tone is nice...but it's so damn loud! any suggestions? I was thinking of replacing the megan resonator with the zzp whisper resonator but I'm not sure if it will fit directly in place of it without modding it and if it will help that much

help please!

 

I too have the cat-less downpipe, plus an ARK N2 cat-back and a CA v1 header.......sooo effing loud, but I love it. Try adding another resonator or an extra muffler from Burns.

 

how about welding in the stock resonator? think that will help? or make it sound like ****?

 

i have Vibrant Header and high flow cat,ARK N2 Exhaust and i got pulled over cuz it is to loud

I've been pulled over 11 times for my current exhaust setup. +4 times back when I had my RX-7. So all in all........15 times for exhaust noise violations since i've been driving

 

=loud.

Add a second resonator it should help but not a whole lot.

****...I have the factory cat back maybe that's why I'm not getting cop tagged. Either that or because I keep it in low rpms when I see them. The only cop encounter I had this year was when some crazy bitch called the cops on me because she couldn't keep up...really, I was at starbucks getting coffee. What I got from the cop was "There are a lot of stupid drivers out there..."

I'm thinking I should just suck it up and get a catted downpipe...see how that does and then if it's not much better maybe do the resonator too

 

i have a pretty similar setup and it is to dam loud for me. Im getting a magnaflow resonator/muffler welded in in place of the one that comes on the megan exhaust. It should quiet it down quite a bit.

haha the cat-less downpipe seems to be a reocurring theme here...

lol I'd probably put mine there...about 2-3 blocks...just hard to tell by the video. I'll have to video mine so I have a video to video comparison. not real life to video. everything sounds different when it's put on a camera haha
