Comes from the force of the air. When you go WOT its loud but when you let off but it still has high RPM its doesnt whine anymore because not much air is going through.

It's caused when the air passes the V shapes outlet or the sc. That's why it gets louder when the silencer holes are plugged.

I've asked this question and had a thread about it also. Eaton themselfs say its more efficient with the holes plugged and the blower is louder. Then zooomer from ZZP will chime in and say I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself, we tested it and lost hp and had higher IATs. We ask for proof and zooomer disappears.

I always thought the wine came from the belt tension. The faster it spins the more resistance Ie more wine? more efficient SC less wine?

The whine comes from the traped air between the rotor lobe and the case exiting the outlet port.

my ported and polished blower on the 3.0 scream like a banshee! my exhaust sucks right now and has some leakage, but the blower is still loud as all hell!
