i just got my ss back with a twin charged kit put on and its ******* awsome if u have the money and time its well worth it trust me this is a hole new level i smash every thin

You really don't need to port the head and you really don't have to have all the cooling mods either for the twincharged kit and you don't "need" to build the motor either but it's not a bad idea for more then 350whp.
