Yeah it ticks like crazy in the summer when you shut your car off after driving for a while. A lot of cars do that. Like everyone else is saying, it's the metal contracting...it's mostly the warmer weather...my exhaust doesn't tick in the winter, only in the summer
yeah i have the midlength header and dp.... and mine does the same thing... my buddy jake (jekqmb) both had/have this problem and our cats are shot so check what i told you to and let me know...
Not this kind of ticking..I'm his brother, and I was the one that pointed it out to him.. I was like, dude your **** is ticking WAYY too much (it sounds like there's a metal piece bouncing around really fast) where as mine ticks once every second or so (Yes, metal expanding/contracting thing), but his is ticking extremely fast. 5? Maybe more per second. And it's not loud like mine, it's kind of quiet....but rapid.

well there is a couple things...i had the corsa touring and i blew out my resinator(you would hear it i nthe middle of the car)
you have the ZZP DP which if you have the 3" connection to the header with out a 3" outlet from the header you will get a tick(i have it like that)
if it is right at the end by the muffler tip(since i have the same exhaust) there is a screw in the cutout for the tip that holds on the back body clip and the solid mounts on the engine make your exhast vibrate and it hitting that, at least for me it is

i have the 2.5 corsa as well its at the exhaust tip which is like 4" or something just check it out...if you hear the ticking at idle walk to the back of your car and put your foot on the tip just enough to stop the ticking, i bet it works
well i had some wicked backfire and broke a hinge where the inner part of the resinator was loose and rattling around
i am almost positive on the tip hitting the screw on the lower rear bumper clip, if you want i can go get a pic and show you

so ur telling me my cat is bad on not only my vibrant but on this aswell when my brother has identical mods and the performance is the exact same?
highly unlikly.... trust me search for p0420. it is not a bad cat, its the ecu not knowing wtf to do with the extra air, so it thinks the cat is bad because more is coming through then should stock. i had the code turned off for 15k miles and never had one performance issue......
also ive had that code on BOTH headers and dps.... ive thrown them both on brand new systems, and not only mine but my bros too and a handful of other cobalts.
actually here
"The catalytic converter has an oxygen sensor in front and behind it. When the vehicle is warm and running in closed loop mode, the upstream oxygen sensor waveform reading should fluctuate. The downstream O2 sensor reading should be fairly steady. Typically the P0420 code triggers the Check Engine Light if the readings of the two sensors are similar. This is indicative of (among other things) a converter that is not working as efficiently as it should be (according to specs). It is part of the vehicle emissions system."
its because it is hi-flow.... its not what the ecu is registered to see, your pushing more
