filter drop question
When I saw the pic of NJCOBALTSS' make shift CAI, It looked like the stock intake. Did he just take the stock filter box off and put an after market filter in the end???? Will that make it sound like that.? Also Does any body have a part number for the K&N filter, or any filter that will fit, if this is all he did .

I went to Advance Auto Parts and they wanted $60 for the K&N drop in. I beleive what NJCOBALTSS did was attach a cone filter at the end of the intake tube.
You can modify your stock configuration by putting in the drop in K&N then cutting holes in your intake box to allow better flow. You should get more wine out of your SC but it won't be as efficient as a CAI system. However, cutting holes in your box will help protect your car better than a completely exposed filter.
