Finally did it......TVS
Well guys it's been a long wait but I finally got a TVS, found an amazing deal that I couldn't pass up on. I have been thinking for awhile to do the turbo swap, but couldn't fathom spending that much money on a DD. I think that I will be very happy with the gains that I will receive from swapping to TVS. I'm not looking for crazy high numbers, if I was I would have went with the turbo swap. So I'm wondering just a few things. I have dual pass and s3 heat exchanger. I ordered the phelonic spacer. Is that more then enough to run the TVS with a 2.9? Thanks for listening to the ramble haha
You'll be fine with just the S3 h/e and the dual pass. I ran the TVS on a 2.9" with just a S3 h/e for over a year and didn't have any issues. Some heat soak in the summer, but it really wasn't that bad. That being said, the more cooling, the better.
Meth is up to you. It can definitely get you some good gains. Just remember, if it runs out, you're cooked.
Also, not sure what area of the country you're from, but definitely look in to getting the car tuned for E85 if it's sold near you. The TVS loves E85.

Exactly. That's why I've never ran it. Even now with the turbo setup.
Granted you can make the "just don't go WOT when you run out" argument. But if I have to worry about when I can and can't have fun with the car, then why bother having it?

Not too difficult to pop the trunk and top off the tank once a week, or once every other week..
You'll be fine. I had same cooling mods as you except add the opt b tank & minus the phenolic spacer, and I had a 2.7 on my TVS. Just make sure you have at least 60# inj. I would recommend 80's tho, that's what i had
Yeah, I'm keepin my eyes open for a nice used TVS, I want to basically run what Nizzle said, 2.7 and I'll prolly upgrade to 80's, However is it necissary to get 80's if I already have 60's and I'm not doing back to back to back pulls? Obviously if I dont have to get 80's Id rather not, Thanks

& if you have E85, then whatever, **** you lol, say what you want about meth..
But to those who don't have E, need to realize the gains you actually get from meth
