Finally going down to 2.5" pulley.
There are quite a few guys on 2.6" or lower and I myself havent heard a single one wrecking an M62. I'm not saying there's noone out there but it's not a common thing. If you have the proper cooling mods i say run it. You can make some good torque with it. Something to try anyways. I may just have to do a back to back dyno pull with my 2.8" and 2.6" to see the gains.
e85 reduces internal temperatures and has a higher octane than gasoline and reduces kr, has nothing to do with your blower or IAT's. a 2.5" would be fun from stop light to stop light, Frankly you would be over spinning your blower with that low of a pulley and at higher speeds it wouldn't be very effective. I plan on going with a 2.7" pulley which from what I gathered is almost perfect for my e85 and current setup. If I was going to go with any lower I would probably port my head (still am anyways), but just to reduce some pressure and increase cfm's
O.P what happens when you run out of Meth? can't go fill it up at the gas station that's for sure..

Hey slowline since you like to talk so big what kind of hp does you're Redline put down? 1/4 mile? Or are all you're parts you supposidly have still sitting in you're room?

Oh and companies would make a 1.9 pulley if some jackass would by it. They want to make money even if you don't make power.

Heat is the reason I'm porting mine before instal to lower temps as well as larger Meth nozzle. Along with my headwork I expect to be fine. For the average Joe tho I think not
Area ran a 2.8 on his m62 for a long time iirc...and we know his cars was badass...and like Zooomer said pulleys this small are pointless. Blower is out of its efficiency range makes tons of heat...if if it pulls good once the heat soak will kill you. Just my .02

Slowline's car is weak, **** every car he has is weak... He talks like he know's his ****, which he doesn't. Every car in this thread will smash his slow p.o.s. in any race at any event.
Now don't do a 2.5 **** THAT ill do an 2.7 at the lowest

on a side note, we just created another css.net myth that will start circulation real soon.. "you need your head ported to run smaller than a 2.7" pulley"
noobs are gonna start putting that in their advice to others...
He agrees on no 2.5" but likes to talk down on everyone else with nothing to back it up
We need small pulley guys to chime here. Get some actual tested opinions
Are you saying 07blackg85ss made the most power or you saying he made the second best power?

You look like you did something else to the car to cause that. We did that to our car few years back before I was hp tuning our car and did that on a untuned 75 shot. That usually happens if the car starts knocking and detonating that causes extremely high pressure in the cylinders.

Just dropping to a 2.5 pulley probably isn't the smartest thing to do if you beat on your car a lot and race a lot.
