Fitment w/TB Spacer & CAI??

Hey guys, im looking to purchase the throttle body spacer from zzperformance with the methanol tap and a injen cold air intake through turbotechracing...i know some people have issues with fitment due to rubbing, so i was wondering if the throttle body would make it rub more or what not...any help would be great appreciated. thanks.

bump

go with the tb spacer from fast98 awesome quality. you will not be disappointed. you shouldnt have a problem and if you do have a problem with rubbing. just take a rubber hose and cut a slit down it and put it on the lip

is that the one on his website, ottperformance.com???? he did pm, so we will see how it goes. you think injen is a good choice on an intake, and would you buy the aem dryflow filter? i have a buddy about an hour away from me and says he has no check engine light

I know with my K&N Intake it was a tight fit before, but when I got the spacer, It was very difficult to get it to line up, and if it did, it would slip into the TB itself and block the butterfly valve from moving. A simple hack saw and a sander solved that problem. Perfect fit now.

hmm...well thats the thing, im not the type that spends quite a bit of money on parts and starts cutting and ghetto rigging ****. if i buy it, i expect it to work...wouldnt you think companies would design their parts to work with others?

also, what sites sale the tvs1320 besides jbp...its like 2800 bucks on their site!

The parts work well with the stock TB, very well. However, you are modifying the TB, and therefore it will cause it not to work as intended. However, you can still do a good job and make it a clean job. Put tape over where you are going to hack saw to help the edges, use a sharpie to mark it off, take a razor, and make a small gouch for the hacksaw to follow, hacksaw it off, take a sander and smooth it down, mine left me with just as good an finish as the original.

ok so i went to install my injen intake and throttle body spacer tonight and it didnt work out well. first off the fitment of the injen vs. my ebay intake is 100 times worse. i had no fitment issues with the ebay intake. second off, then injen and ebay intake piping and maf sensor location are EXACTLY the same. so basically its black and has injen stamped on it, and sales for almost 200 bucks more. but besides that, i had my throttle body spacer in and went to put my intake to the throttle body and yea it didnt work out. the throttle body is way lower now since the supercharger dips down already, so it made it even lower. so there is no way in hell i could get my intake to connect to it with my throttle body spacer. so i ran outa daylight so i wound up having to take the spacer out and then unhook my methanol switch. What did you guys do to make this fit? any How To threads?

How did you get your intake to fit? Cause that rubber peice that connects from the throttle body to the intake is to short to fit it...once i put the throttle body on it made the rubber peice be even lower than the intake

well duh, but the injen might have a better flow rate due to the grinding down of the harsh edges inside...

point being, an extra .5-1 hp for the extra $200 you spent..
