Fking Axles
It sounds like something in the steering system broke. Usually axles go when you're driving the car hard due to wheel hop - not when you're only parking the car. I've broken one when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Heard a pop followed by a quick rev like I was in neutral and then coasted to the side of the road.
Yeah, waiting on a buddy then hopefully I can drive it down the road to the lift. Then I will have a much better Idea on what is really broken. I just wanted some guesses. I really had no clue except the axles I just installed. Could a CV have popped as well?
You're risking breaking additional things and ******* the car up even more though.
Its really not that hard to look and see what you did without jacking up the car.

Can you turn the front wheels? If your steering wheel feels like it's not connected to anything, try turning and see if the wheels are actually moving, the results will let you know a little more about what happened. You def broke something, and not an axle.
Dispite everyone saying not to, I drove the car. I let it roll back to see if I herd anything and to see if anything leaked and got frozen overnight. It rolled back fine w/o and wierd noises or shaking etc etc. I backed out made made a slow drive around the parking lot. I had complete control over the car, no steering problems. I parked in the space next to me. I will put up pictures of this metal round thing I found. Does it go to my car?
