hey guys,

i just bought my meth injection today and im really excited...now im trying to figure out what to use for my methanol mixture. i went to walmart and found these...but none of them said their contents, so i dont know if they contain methanol...i assume they do if theyre all rated at -40c or under...but which one to you think is best for me?

also, do you think it would just be cheaper/easier to buy two gas cans, fill one up with pure meth from a local race-fuel store, pour half the can of meth in the second can and fill the rest up with water?

you could buy a gallon of methanol from a race shop, but i would keep it unmixed untill you add it to the car. another alternative is methal hydrate or gas line antifreeze, they are both methanol.

 

why would you recomend keeping it unmixed until ready to put in car? i only ordered a 2 qt resevoiur...dont want to have to mix they stuff every week if i dont need to...and i plan to keep a little container 50/50 mix in my trunk for emergencies

 

those are just shy of a 50/50 mix. It will work great. choose any of the three.

 

im buying pure virgin methanol, and mixing it 50-50, and adding food coloring so i can see it in the bottle. i chose purple

 

DO NOT USE THOSE WITH ADDED CHEMICALS... ie: De-Icers, rain-x, etc. Buy the everyday -20* blue stuff, and add 1 bottle of HEET, makes close to a 50/50 mix!

i recomend keeping it seperate because methanol will pull in so much moisture even mixed, so your 50/50 mix can end up with more water, so you dont have a consistant mix from fill to fill
