that may be true i just have a hard time actually believing that if you were to get 4 different brands pipe and use the same filter that you would see any difference on a dyno or on the track
tried that and failed...
i couldt drive my car in light rain with out the car surging, took off the aem intake, got myself an injen and its been bliss ever since.
gave the aem filter away for free, wasnt impressed with it at all...

I might see .5 to 1.5 more boost than you, and deff have more top end. any extra cfm helps the top end.
And because it uses zero oil and the material used water makes its way in that much easier.
aem FTL!
another member had the same issue with his, he went back to stock.
Personally I will never use a dry filter, I don't like them, and I DO NOT like the dry wrap stuff. For me there's no reason not to use an oiled filter. They're relatively problem free when taken care of properly and I've NEVER had an issue with oil on the MAF.
That's probably THE most common complaint with dry flow. I've heard quite a few other people complain about them, am friends with some Honda guys who were debating the same thing and had seen similar (water soaking) problems.

yes sir. it screams. but let me tell you now you need two people to put it in right because it is a pain in the a$$. also make sure it does not rub on the wheel well. you might want to get a hydro shield also. i found some water on the filter on day because there is a whole above the left fog light and one in the wheel well. other than that enjoy !
I just installed mine the other night and the fitment is pissing me off big time. it seems no matter what way i position all of the tubing, i just wont fit right. I'm gonna rip it appart again soon to see if i can change anything again.
