Fujita's For Real!!!

I decided to keep it.

I just installed this thing today after work....WOW!

I'm no newbie and I would've never expected the gains I feel with this intake! Its so much smoother, and the bucking bronco syndrome in first gear is gone. Then theres the power increase, I totally believe the advertisement dyno and am considering going to dyno to prove this.

The best thing is all you asshats making fun of this intake. I feel real safe saying this will make more power than the k&n. The size difference is my guess.

Just very excited, big jump up from the hacked off factory airbox with E-1009 K&N. I had no codes with that, and none with the F5 yet.

ExHondaMan and anyone else with the Psi-Fi kit. I really really recommend this intake. With the Psi-Fi kit and the 3"cat back the car was strong, but this intake wakes it up bigtime!

Hat and duffle are to get their name out there.

Maybe no code because you have a car thats has a piggy back program. Just my 2%.
I was thinking about that PSI kit but being that I'm having so much trouble with this stupid K&N I'll wait. Plus I don't see to many people with this kit yet. It's fairly cheep for the gains.
Where in pa are you. You should dyno it just to see what gains you made over you stock intake.

Don't wait and get that beast dynoed, don't forget to take the same kind of dyno in the same gear. My guess is that with the PSI-FI kit (which adjust the air/fuel) it may achieve the gain Fujita advertised.

Hey, I respect ANY company willing to contribute to the SS aftermarket!

The only reason I included that in my post, was I can't believe the way half these guys are acting.

I have no problems with K&N, I think its a really nice intake. One piece design, really nice metallic powdercoat, and great price. Well worth the money.

I just wanted to show that just because Fujita isn't well known, doesn't mean their products suck. Same for the hat and duffle bag, no reason to criticize. Its marketing, gets their name out there.

We should be grateful there are companies like Fujita. The way people talk down everything, I wouldn't want to make a gd thing for us. We should support anything that comes our way. There isn't a whole lot yet, ya know? Be glad we aren't in the rut the Redline guys are, they've been waiting forever for the good stuff.

The way I see it, we're all on the same team anyway. Its nice to learn from eachother. See what setups work out, etc.

I'll try and get some good vids tomorrow, and I hope to dyno again soon. May wait for header...

Thanks,

-Travis

Let me ask, what would make this new intake better than k&n? Thicker pipe??? what? and what are the gain differences?

I'm not making fun of this intake but what I don't understand is how basically a same design intake gets more power then another one? It's just a pipe with a filter on the end of it... please elaborate how power gains are so much higher then K&N... , curious that's all ..

With my experience from yesterday, don't expect too much gains form either of the intakes if there is'nt extra fuel to feed the engine. Both of these CAI will probably gives you between 8 to 10 WHP on a stock car, but if you plan to add it on top of a header, catback and a pully then it's being way too lean.

Nobody has done a dyno comparison with both intakes on same dyno, same car, same day. So NOBODY knows the differences between the two.

There are dyno sheets posted from each company, but none yet from consumers.

K&N is 2.5"-2.75"(not sure) pipe to 3" from MAF to filter. Fujita is 3" all the way, flaring to 3.5" at filter.

Either way they both seem to be great intakes, minus the CELs.

Went and installed a job today, and went out crusing last night. No check engine yet!!! Looks Promising!

Are you throwing any codes? You said your "running way too lean".

I like my K&N and think the fujita is just as good if not better but my concern is the cel. Do you think since you have psi kit with the piggy back program that your fuel trims are ajusted enough for the extra air a stock car can't seem to handle without throwing a code.

If there is a difference...(I dont' know what the K&N is like). It would have to be the Pipe diameter making the difference.

I totally understand what you mean, its just a pipe with a filter. If the two intakes had the same exact pipe diameter, and one claimed to have much higher numbers, I too would question it.

So if there is a difference, (I know the F5's strong). It would have to be because Fujita went with larger pipe, more air, more power. I'm thinking with my 2.8" pulley, the blower is really spinning making lots o' heat. Now with the Fujita, intake temps have prob dropped resulting in this AWAKENING I've felt.

...Just a guess

Actually I was banking on the TOTAL opposite!

I was the first SS to have the Psi Fi kit installed. At the time... the few redline guys who had the kit, were throwing codes relating to either high-flo filters, or K&N intakes.

Seeing I had my stock airbox cut and a K&N E-1009 filter installed, they thought I too would throw a code. NEVER DID!!!

Been 4 months since, and not one code or hiccup. This makes me very pleased with the guys a Psi-Fi. Car runs incredible!

Since then I was told to come back down, because Ray@revitup suggested a new wiring method/tune or something. THIS is the wiring schematic that was used in the mass market release of the kit, and supposedly has cured ALL codes for redline users.

I've yet to get this wiring switch/tune(not sure), but my car seems to have taken to it well anyway. I also recall them saying they got a few more degrees timing out of it, resulting in a little more power. I really gotta get my ass down there!
