Gapping my NGK's? Advice needed.

Hey guys, I am putting my 2.9 on tmorrow along with my NGK BKR7E's and I really dont know what to gap them at. I searched and everyone said a ton of different ****, some people said to gap at .43 some said to gap at .30 .

One person said to start the gap at .40 and drive the car, and see how it is. If need be go down from there untill the car runs good. Is this procedure correct? Sorry for such a ******* question but there were way to many different answeres for me to come out with a conclusion.

Thanks for any help.

wouldn't that info be just in the manual? The spark gap shouldn't change.

you want the highest gap possible that allows the car to idle properly. start at 40 and work down.
my gap was.37 on my cobalt (i also used the NGKs and a 2.9)
