i just installed my stage 3 zzp kit an the gas gauge was fine upon start up but now has gone a lil awry...i just filled it up an it says its on empty...any had this problem what can i do to fix it?

locking gas cap, that way people cant syphon your gas well your inside the gas station paying for it.

Canned stage 3 ZZP tune? There's no reason for the guage to be messed up from the tune, but weirder things have happened

 

yea its all jacked up...thats the only gauge thats actin funny tho

 

I herd that the gas gauge will read opposite , full being empty and empty being full if you put the gmpp stage 3 computer from the wrong year in your car. Like putting a 2005 computer in a 2006 balt. Maybe something along those likes? Just a guess...

 

It's not the GM kit tho (per statement in first post)

 

Tap on it to see if the needle is stuck. My old 89 Camaro did the same thing with oil temp gauge.
Most likely the gauge has gone bad. Nothing about a tune would mess with it to my knowledge.

 

well i think somethin with the tune did it maybe cuz the ECU wasnt reflashed or somethin?...it was actin real funny like i had no gas in it an it was readin half and then full an then as i drove i culd watch it drift back down to 3/4 then after i filled it up the gauge reads empty...i'm gonna watch it as i go through this tank and see if it goes backwards...maybe i should take the battery cable off and wait a bit an put it back on to see if that helps?
