gasket

My parts came in from OTTP stage 2 kit, before I tear into this project. I have
one question.. Do I need a new gasket kit from gm if I take off the supercharger to put the pulley on? Can I reuse the old one?

Just to be on the safe side of things, I am going to order a new one.
Thanks guys for helping a brother out. bump for the night.

I still want to know if can use the old one.

Thanks guys for the input. Can't wait for the install.. I am going to help out my mechanic.
He says there is no service charge since I am his security officer in the building he lives at.
My X-mas gift from him.

Wow is all I got to say about a local chevy dealership! They wanted $55.00 for the gasket that sits between the supercharger and the intake manifold. Tomorrow my buddy who has a shop is going to work on the car. I am getting flack that I need that part. Now I am having second thoughts of reusing that gasket.. Please sway me in the right direction, thanks alot....

You can reuse that gasket just fine.

As long as the sealing surface is not damaged (99% are not) you will not need a new one.

http://www.crateenginedepot.com/store/pdfs/sidekit.pdf

gm directions about supercharegr removal.

You would only replace it if that surface was damaged.

Hey thanks for the info on the instructions of the supercharger removal procedure.
John my buddy will like as much as he can get. This is the first chevy he has laid his hands on. He has a jeep srt8 supercharged highly modified beast.
