Second gear through town creates a chatter/rattle that reverberates off the surounding schrubbs, tunnels, high curbs etc. It sounds like shitty wheel bearings (6000 miles on the car -unlikely)
First gear NO. Third gear NO.......and so on.
Any experience with this?

 

That sounds like my 3rd gear , it's done it since it was new . I read all the post too , sounds like a common issue . Ive got 13,000 miles on mine and it's sounds the same as the day i drove it off the lot . Now if it starts to get louder than i might have it looked at . Good luck
