General Wiring Questions.

hey. i am looking for a coupe diagrams and whatnot, and i was told by area41 to crosspost my question in here. i am looking for an engine harness diagram. i want to see the harness that connects to all of the sensors, and where it goes to. i want to see what harness(es) connect to the ECU. i would also like to see how the ECU is integrated into the dash via that harness.

the reason i ask is i just picked up a new car, a 1994 honda civic hatchback to be exact. i got a crazy idea of wanting to yell ECOTAAAAK insted of VTAAAAKKK out the window when i get done beatingl LS1 cars and the like

trying to figure out if this is a doable swap. from what little i have seen so far, it looks like it is fairly similar to a k series honda swap, as it is a completely independent motor/ecu harness from the rest of the car, and you just have to build a conversion harness to let it communicate with the dash.

or hell, i could get it all running with ALL of the cobalt wiring, and just have a million ricer gagues

also, i was wondering if there were any immobilizor type deals in the cobalt, and was wondering how those work and whatever.

are there any standalone systems for the cobalt yet?

There are 100's of electrical diagrams for the cobalt. Literally. I suggest you get the manual for whatever engine/ECU combo you get. The engine computer has to talk to the body computer for anti theft unless you get that disabled with something like HPtuners.

If you honestly plan to drop an Ecotec into a honda, you will be better off using a stand alone then trying to use a GM computer. The computers are designed for the car they are in.

However, I do have some pin-outs for various ECM's in this thread:
