Thumbs up GM Stage 2 ss/sc

I want to get stage 2 installed for a 2006 ss/sc,I could do it myself but then it would void my warranty,so i was wondering around how much dealers charge to purchase and install it.I know how much the parts costs i'm just curious how much the dealer charges to install it.If you guys could let me know i would appreciate it.Thanks

it will cost an arm and a leg, sometimes a new born child. I have seen shops charge 7-1000 for it.

it's been so long since I had my stage 2 installed.. I think the kit was 700ish, and the install took them about 3 hours? I'd say you'd be looking at around $80 p/h, so $240 for installation?

Putting the kit on yourself is not going to void your warranty. I don't know why everyone seems to think this

You take it to the dealer to get the flash put on as soon as the kit is on.

and then when something goes wrong with the injectors or you screw up something pulling the pulley off whos going to cover that? Its worth it to take the car to the dealership. it cost me around 230 as well.

I did my own, if you have worked on cars before and have the tools and work space ....i say DIY. If you've never changed an injector or used a press .......take it to the dealer.

I bought the kit of CED, and had a dealer install it. Install was like $200 or something which isn't too bad considering that if you do the install yourself most dealers charge around $90 just to do the flash from what I've read from other guys on here before.

Why do people think that a dealership has to warranty a vehicle that had parts (GM or otherwise) installed by the owner?

That is why it is a good idea to check with the dealer first to see if they are fine with it. Since some are doucebags when it comes to something as simple as adding a drop in filter. If they are any kind of competent dealer they should be fine with it, all that I have asked are. If GM was totally against it I seriously doubt that they would give step by step instructions in the LSJ build book and state numerous thime that this kit can be installed by the average person
