don't you think that GM would have an email address with something like @GM.com, or GMUSA.com???

doesn't make sense at all

I'm not saying the thread starter is lying, I just think whoever is "sportcompact@aol.com" is an impostor

I know you have been straightened out already but I wanted to give a hint as to why GM would have an AOL email addy. They have a deal going on with AOL that if you are an employee you can get AOL dial up access for $5 a month. I am sure they have other things worked out as well......

Doesn't the stage 3 kit for the SRT4 void its warrenty too? So we're in the same boat as those guys, fast ain't cheep and it appears no warrenty is part of the price.

But a Stage 3 for the SS and a Stage 3 for the SRT-4 would be two completely different animals. They aren't swapping superchargers or anything like that....at least we can only hope that they would.

I wasn't ******* you.

From all of the complaints that I have been hearing about Stage 1 & 2 people having warranty issues, I am not sure what the difference would be if Stage 3 keeps or voids the warranty.....(Insert Speculation Here All I know is that for the money that it will cost, there would be no reason to buy it. Might as well go aftermarket.

I didn't take that the wrong way, its all good. Anyway I work at a GM performance parts dealership in Maryland and so far we haven't had a single issue relating to the stage kits. Now true that could change tomorrow but for now I didn't realize you guys were having that many issues with them. Sorry.

OK guys I got a response. Here is my message and their response here at the top.

Hi, Tony.

We're going to officially announce the Stage 3 kit at NOPI Nationals on Sept 16th. It's not quite ready for sale, yet. We'll start selling at the end of November.

Yeah I hear you bro but they actually are schedualed to show the Stage 3 kit at NOPI Nationals on Sept 16th. So I guess all we can do is wait for the pics that come in from the show.

Hey guys I emailed them again and this was the response.

Hi, Tony-
Parts should be available next month. You'll probably see more info around SEMA time. You might want to pick up the SEMA issue of TPR magazine.
The delay was caused by a supplier who mis-built our 2-pass intercooler endplates, so we had to send them all back. The problem is being corrected immediately, and then we'll be ready for sale.

No problem bro, so it looks like someone mis-built the 2 pass intercooler plates.
That's what the hold up is.

Sweet, I think it will be cool to have something available with some actual GMMP testing behind it.

I wonder if I should go to SEMA this year, it's always such a blast.

Well they had a stage 3 cobalt on a dyno there at Nopi. As far as news of it coming out, the tech said a vendor made all the 2-pass plates incorrectly and that's what's holding it up. Sema is around Nov. 4th so it should be in the TPR magazine then.

HA the best part is when you call gm about this they have NO idea about it at all. I had the parts guy call and they told him o hold on the gm performance guy is right here....guy had no clue or NEVER heard anything about it. Got to love GM and there great communication skills.
