Gm Stage Kit Updated Status

I just hung up with GM TRACS and the kits changed status, from a "future part not yet available" to "is a ship direct part" so it should be available for order now without a cancellation. I'm putting one on order today and see what happens tomorrow.

Now, isn't this a much better stage thread?

Yes, I know this as I have posted in other threads. You people aren't "listening" or reading rather. GMACCESS screen has said ship direct part for a long time. I have been on with GM TRACS, which is a phone in deal that tells you status on part numbers ie; prices availability etc. Now if any of you actually read the other threads that I have posted you would have read that I work at a GM dealer and showed the status of it as being cancelled upon order entry but now "IT HAS CHANGED" ok did you get that?? "IT HAS NOW CHANGED".......READ people...so I said I ordered it and will see what happens by tomorrow.

Oh yes also...THE STATUS HAS NOW CHANGED...........**** sakes

I read and know where your coming from ...but you can imagine why we are all so skeptical ... I want someone to get it ... or for an official announcement from GM

the US kits are probably delayed pending CARB approval or something, we have more strict emissions than Canada. it will probably be a while before we get them.

just my $0.02

I am sure with all the lay offs in GM's white collar division that it's probably not hurrying up the release.

Ok people I just called a very well known gmpp dealer around here. The numbers do come up. She said that the list price is there and it will be $750 before install... installation is 1.5hrs at a rate of $91 per so... in the USD currency the cost will be $886 fully installed... no release date and it said parts not in stock.... GM SUPRCHG UPGRD KIT PART NUMBER 17803229 Stage 2

Now you US people can take that to the bank at least now we have solid pricing... which really people knew all along...

Yup. Just have to say your dealer is damn expensive for their hourly rate. The dealer i bought my car from is only 76/hour.

If it is a ship direct part it will never be in the system as a stocking part or not for some time. It will just say no stock, part is ship direct. Thats with any part that isn't stocked in a PDC.

As far as calling BS on it, there has been so many of the same posts about the same thing that it sounds like misinformation so its natural to gain skepticism unless you actually reaaaaaaaad whats going on.

oh yea and did you hear? The status changed now..
