This mod has nothing to do with the S/C being cooler. This effects the air after the S/C not before meaning it will not change the operating temp of the S/C.

Sorry dude, I does. It reduces heat soak, which is what makes the blower get really hot.

The fitting is a 1/8" NPT. Thats what I used. I've got my car torn apart right now and sent the endplate to a machine shop so hopefully they will be able to do it for me.
